North American DataCom Announces Fiber Optic Conduit Agreement

IUKA, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 22, 2000--Robert R. Crawford, president of North American DataCom, Inc. (OTCBB:NADA - news), today announced DataCom's finalization of an agreement to purchase more than one thousand miles of fiber optic conduit along a corridor connecting Atlanta, Georgia; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Memphis, Tennessee. The agreement provides a framework for additional network segments throughout the southeastern United States. This agreement, along with DataCom's previous purchase of 500 miles of conduit secured earlier in the year between Jacksonville, Florida and New Orleans, Louisiana, finalizes several critical routes for the Company's fiber optic infrastructure.

``We are very pleased and excited to have concluded this transaction. This Agreement represents a major milestone as we deploy and expand our fiber optic network throughout the region,'' said Mr. Crawford.

DataCom will provide Enterprise Data Storage Services, Bandwidth, and Professional Services for high-speed Storage Area Networks and point-to-point Critical Data Storage. Services will exploit DataCom's network infrastructure for data availability, data protection, scalability, and performance for the medical, financial, government, and corporate arenas.
